I absolutely adore this hostel; I stayed here over ten years ago and it was just as amazing. The spot is ideal for checking out all the small beach towns along the coast, and it’s great that the other window lets me hear the waves crash at night. The beds are comfy, and if you book a private room you get a shared bathroom next to a unit that’s very clean. Natalie at the front desk is super helpful and friendly. There’s nothing I’d change—I’d stay here again.

“Absolutely gorgeous and the best way to do Half Moon.”

The views were absolutely incredible and the staff were super helpful. It was a great deal for everything. You’re really close to the other towns but also to all the local beaches and anything you would want to do. Also, I don’t know if they broadcast it but the location is a nonprofit for the maintenance of the historic lighthouse site. The one bummer is that there is some poison oak around the beach access to where you can’t go down and the walls are a bit thin. But other than that it’s great

“An enjoyable stay for our family. Staff were very helpful and friendly”

We really liked the location. Being a hostel we were expecting it to be basic and that's fine, although cleanliness could have been better in the communal areas like the kitchen and common room. I expect money is tight but the buildings needs some TLC, painting etc
