The location is gorgeous, not far from the hiking area in the Teutoburger Forest. Because it belongs to a religious community, you also get a sense of monastic calm. The breakfast was fantastic, and check‑in is possible outside reception hours.

“Alles in allem ok”

Breakfast and location are good. It should be made clearer that this isn’t a typical hotel—rooms aren’t cleaned during longer stays, no new towels, no shampoo or shower gel, no hair dryer (only a few available and only on request), very Spartan, with shower and toilet separated on the hallway. All in all, okay.

This place isn’t a standard hotel; it’s a church training and education center that opens up free room slots for Booking. So you shouldn’t expect the usual hotel experience. In fact, that’s a plus— I really appreciated the monastery‑like vibe, the calm, and the simplicity.
