The old hotel was charming and the restaurant was good, plus there’s an amazing large sandy beach nearby, but the prices were a bit high.

The hotel was right on our cycling route, but there were no storage options in the huge bathroom, the shower was leaking and water splashed everywhere, mold appeared on the bathroom window, the requested pillow was unavailable even though a pillow service was advertised, the giant duvet was only supplemented with a normal size one so I struggled with the blankets all night and slept poorly, the breakfast area was busy and the buffet was often empty with only one staff member, clearing the tables was slow, the bike shed was free to access but had no power outlet, and a nightly rate over €200 was too expensive compared to what we experienced elsewhere on our trip.
