Cumberland Hotel sits on Scarborough South Cliff, a ten‑minute walk from the Spa complex, the beach, and the rail station. Rooms feature TV, tea/coffee makers, free toiletries, and north‑facing views of the town. The ground‑floor restaurant and bar with ballroom host nightly entertainment. Nearby, Scarborough Castle, two golf courses, and the North York Moors await.

The staff were super helpful and welcoming, and the facilities were very well maintained and accessible; breakfast was excellent quality and great value for money, the location was excellent, and car parking was made easy and accessible—overall a great hotel with a good atmosphere and quality service in all respects, though lift access was very limited and a drag, and there were no other negative aspects to our stay.

Breakfast was lovely, but I only wish it had been a buffet; it was well cooked and delicious, though the lack of a buffet meant you couldn't get more if you wanted to.

Smell of cleanliness. The fire alarm when of at 1am for over a minute making everyone get up n.go downstairs!!!! Then went off again at 7.30 am absolute joke and they said I had the only child booked in so the entertainment wouldn't be appropriate
