Rimba house offers a perfect alternative to Bukit Lawang; you reach it only by motorbike, which can be intense, but locals do it all the time, and you can also walk. I walked a few times, picked up durian along the way, and met orangutans. The house itself is wonderful, the bed comfortable, and there were no mosquitoes during my stay. The views and jungle sounds were amazing, and the best part was watching orangutans from the backyard. The jungle river provided perfect refreshment, and the host was always available. I was lucky to be served many wild jungle dishes and enjoyed various herbal teas from the garden. For me, this was one of the best places I’ve ever visited and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves pristine jungle vibes—love.

An amazing place in nature with amazing staff, great food, and comfortable beds. In the morning you could see orangutans behind the house—great experience.
