The old ancestral house vibe in Baguio was nice, but the property wasn’t cleaned or maintained well.

“Good home, yet it needs finesse!”

I liked the Villa’s homely feel, yet the staff was too few; the same person handled concierge, cooking, cleaning, and entertaining guests, which was exhausting for him. The food should have been served in covers, and they could have hired a better cook or chef. The fish were tiny, even smaller than my palm, and the “daing na bangus” was just white rice instead of sinangag. They could have let guests cook their own meals to taste. The bathroom was poorly designed: they installed a bidet inside the toilet, which was gross, and the scent lingered after use; a deodoriser spray would help. The TV was broken. It could have been worse.

The hotel’s old charm and cleanliness impressed me, but the window blocked the view of the outside beauty.

The large house turned BnB was comfortable, and the owner offered breakfast choices at check‑in; the simple breakfast was good, and we chatted with the owner afterward. The beds were comfy and the hot shower worked. The staff were kind and very accommodating. However, the room’s toilet had a flush problem that drained the reserve tank overnight, leaving no water for the whole accommodation the next morning; the staff replenished the supply within a few hours.

“Comfortable place to stay and friendly staff.”

The breakfast was simple, which matched the price, but the hair dryer was moldy and I couldn’t touch it to use it.
