Checking in was quick and easy. Even though it’s a no‑staff hotel, every online question was answered. The décor is cozy and warm, and the location is great—just a short walk from the station and Daizō Park. On the next morning I could stroll the quiet paths in the early hours. Laundry and drying are free, and there are a simple kettle, mini‑fridge, coffee packets, and basic kitchenware. There’s a stove, but I didn’t try it and wasn’t sure if cooking was allowed. After 4 pm on weekdays the street is almost silent, with few shops open; the nearest convenience store is about a 20‑minute walk, so bring breakfast for the next day.

The spot is only five minutes from Daizō, and the renovated guesthouse is clean, stylish, and cozy. During my stay there was only one other Taiwanese guest; if the place were full, the cramped space might feel pretty stifling. This is my second visit; the first time I had two foreigners on day one and was alone on days two and three, so off‑season probably isn’t that busy. The value for money is good, the location is solid, and while there’s nothing around for convenience, that’s actually part of the charm.

Because the only ship I had booked was cancelled, I reached Aomori and had to wait until late at night for a new reservation, which was an inconvenience for them, but they handled it wonderfully.
