“Bhairavgarh, Udaipur – Private Pool Suite Review”
We stayed one night in their most expensive private suite with a pool, expecting a premium experience, but the service let us down completely. We had to ask for basic amenities that should have been in the room already. Early check‑in after 11 AM was supposed to be complimentary, yet we had to wait until almost 1 PM. When we asked about late check‑out, we were first quoted ₹5,000, then after a few hours the reception “confirmed” it would actually be ₹10,000. Declining that, the hotel suddenly claimed to be sold out and offered a complimentary 2 PM check‑out instead—only to take that away, with calls before noon telling us to vacate by 12. We booked half‑board with dinner, but after multiple requests we were forced to swap it for lunch the next day. On arrival for lunch, the à la carte we had arranged turned into a buffet, and we had to wait again while they “confirmed” it. For ₹18,000 a night, the treatment felt worse than a budget hotel. We came to celebrate a birthday with high hopes and left in a bad, sad mood. Thanks, Bhairavgarh, for nothing.
“Staff were really lovely, ambience, comfort and location was good. Definitely not a value for the amount charged”
The location and ambience were nice and the staff were friendly, but half the place was under repair, so construction noise filled the day and the corridors were dusty. The towels on the first day looked old and weren’t washed properly. Dinner, which cost about 1500 rupees each, was spicy and salty on the first night. The private pool in our room wasn’t really private; there were just bushes covering a road outside where workers moved around, and other guests could see in. The TV in the premium room had no screen‑casting or streaming services, only the hotel’s regional news channels.
“Good”
The experience was solid and overall good.
“Bhairav Gadh koi Or kabhi Mat Jana Apke Paise wast ho jayege.”
The AC was broken and they didn’t give me a room at all; they just kept taking my money and doing nothing. I expected a decent room for 1000–1200 with a good AC, but after calling about it 4–5 times the problem wasn’t solved.
The place sits in a convenient spot, the grounds are pretty, the pool is inviting, and the meals are tasty, but the bathroom was tiny and a bit run-down, leaving me dissatisfied.
