Furusjöns Cottage

The cabin was cozy and spotless, just like the entire camp, and the lounge offered a great billiards table. Getting to the swimming water was easy. The only downside was having to share the mattresses with four people.

The cabin was perfect for a few nights for three to four people, but there was no balcony with sun in the evenings.

The cabin was cute and had everything you need for a short stay, including its own balcony, kitchen, and shower toilet, so we never used the shared spaces.

Overall the facilities were really good, the beds had comfortable mattresses, the kitchen was well equipped, there was a TV, the place was very cozy, and the lake was lovely. It was also nice that the place is run by an association with good, welcoming service, and everything was inexpensive for the price.

We found a small spot by the lake where we were almost always alone. The place had a campsite and a café, which were all closed but still very beautiful, and the regular campers were very friendly. The only issue was that we only learned later that there were problems with the drinking water. The campsite is supposed to reopen in autumn 2025, but it is closed until then because of a sewage problem. We were given water and told it was safe for washing dishes, toilets, and showers, but for pregnant or immunocompromised people general body hygiene was very difficult. We brought enough water ourselves, but we would not have booked if we had known. Everyone was still very nice.
