With unlimited Wi-Fi, an outdoor seasonal pool, and gardens, it caters to families, corporate groups, and travelers. Close to the Whanganui River, Virginia Lake, and national cycleway, it provides easy access to supermarkets, restaurants, and cultural attractions.

The hotel was very tidy and modernized.

It was nice and close to town, not noisy despite being on a main road, and the restaurant was great. Nothing to complain about.

The town bus stops are just outside the motel, and the reception was helpful and patient. We got a quiet inner‑facing unit on level 1 that was spacious, cozy, and had a view plus access to the pool (though it was too cold to use). The place was well‑maintained and clean even with old furnishings, and the beds were comfy. There’s a restaurant, but it closes on Sunday afternoons. Fast‑food spots are opposite, while town‑centre restaurants are about 1.4 km or 3–4 bus stops away and are mostly closed on Sundays (or in the PM) and Mondays. Like other Whanganui lodgings, it isn’t close to the Intercity bus stop, and the shower head is fixed.
