The meals were wonderful, and Shamila is an excellent cook. The room was spacious with a nice view, and the family was welcoming and friendly. The only drawback was that the property is away from the town centre and you need transport.

It was a clean, inviting place with a homely atmosphere. The walk from the hotel gate to the hotel is not easy, but they help with the luggage.

The hosts were outstanding and nothing bothered us; the place was very clean and the bedroom matched the photo. It sits high up in the mountains surrounded by nature, and although there are a few steps to reach the property, the effort is totally worth it for the incredible view.

We booked Peaceful Peak in Kandy for one night during our brief visit to Sri Lanka and fell in love with the homely vibe that still offers all the comforts of a hotel. Breakfast was really nice, offering a selection of continental and Sri Lankan dishes. Nihal and the team did a fantastic job making our stay very comfortable. The location is great, giving us access to most places within a short tuk‑tuk ride. I can’t think of anything we didn’t like; it’s truly great value for money with all the comforts you’d expect from a bed‑and‑breakfast.
