The property is modern, clean, and offers great value. The food and breakfast are excellent, though an unpleasant odor lingered in the room, corridors, and lounge—an issue that could be resolved with air fresheners to improve the overall experience.

Everything was good, and the dinner at the restaurant was not only tasty but also reasonably priced compared to typical hotel restaurants.

The food at the Cygnett Inn was consistently excellent, the breakfasts varied and tasty, my room was clean and comfortable with a large window offering city views, and the bathroom was spotless with everything functioning properly. However, the front desk staff lacked detailed knowledge about city transport, such as bus routes to out-of-town destinations.

Breakfast was great and the staff—Neha, Sila, Hassina, Akashi, and Bhaskam—were attentive and always helpful, and the restaurant featured a solo singer/guitarist on weekend nights, which was very enjoyable. The only downside was that single soap containers would be preferable to the large wall-mounted ones.

The hotel’s location in the town centre is convenient, allowing us to walk to the Maha Bhairabab Sivan temple, which was essential since the roads were blocked for Siva Raatri.
