Overall, the experience was great; the lady actually stood and spoke to us and we felt so at home, like with someone we’d known for a lifetime. Both she and her husband were extremely friendly, and it was a pleasure staying there—a real treat, though it was too short. The only issue was that I would have liked to stay longer.

Vanessa was a very friendly host who was happy to share information; the room was quite spacious, clean, and bright, though the bathroom felt a bit cramped. From the equipped balcony you could watch the sunset while sipping a drink or reading a book, and if you’re lucky you might spot the wild horses of Fisherhaven. It’s a 15 km walk to Hermanus.
