The house was beautiful with excellent communal areas, a very well‑equipped kitchen, and a great hot tub; all rooms were en suite, but one bedroom advertised as a double only had a 4‑ft bed, not suitable for a couple, and its bathroom was very cramped.

The house had lovely rustic charm and good facilities, but there was a total lack of privacy—relatives of the owners stayed in the house, could be heard, and even accessed our side of the house during the stay, and five roaming cats were present without any prior notice.

I celebrated my 40th birthday with friends at this place, which had the charm of Weasley's home and was perfect for a Harry Potter‑themed “Weekend at Hogwarts”; the bedrooms were cozy, the kitchen was fully equipped, the house was filled with curiosities, five fluffy kitties added to the magical vibe, the outdoor hot tub—“Moaning Myrtle's bathroom”—was amazing after a night of partying, and the owners were lovely and caring, making us feel like visiting distant family.
