“Ruskaretkellä”

The room was new and aesthetically pleasing, with a floor‑to‑ceiling window and a bed right in front; there was plenty of space for luggage, the towel warmer felt luxurious, the room was quiet and the beds were superb for sleeping, with good pillows and thick blankets; the private fridge and coffee and water kettles were nice. The downside was that the bathroom was quite cramped.

The skylight that let you see the sky was nice, but the price I paid through the channel was about 60 € per night higher than what I would have gotten from the hotel’s own site the day before arrival.

“Mukava vierailu meille uudenlaisessa majoitusmuodossa.”

Breakfast was fine, the room was beautiful and modern, and the wall‑ and skylights were lovely, bringing nature inside; during our stay we could see amazing northern lights from the room, which was a treat, and the last‑minute reservation price also felt comforting. On the downside, all services were in a different building that required a walk, the room was small and the lack of a standard‑height chair was a bother, there were only two bar stools, and the cabinet space was very limited.

The place was clean and peaceful, though the chair or stool in the room could be better; the tall chairs just don’t work.

“Loma”

The beds were good and the cleaners were friendly, but the pre‑arrival information was lacking—for example, the fact that the reception and dining are in a separate building. The deluxe side only has rooms, no other facilities. The room was cold and it took a while to heat up; the stone floor in the toilet was cold and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed when seated. The coffee at breakfast was cold and there was no indication of what was available.
