Grand Hotel Swanage

The staff were welcoming, the dining room offered wonderful sea views, and the ground floor was well arranged. My room was small but compact, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The only downside was that the list of facilities, including the free Wi‑Fi code, was in the room but not displayed.

“Super Lage, schwache Bar”

The location is stunning with direct beach access. The breakfast was just okay, but the bar felt bleak for a hotel of this size; fortunately, there was a beach café that provided an alternative. For sea and beach holidays the location is decisive, but we felt the price‑to‑value of the rooms was only justified by the location.

“Very pleasant apart from the bed issue”

Breakfast was very good, with a great selection. My husband slept poorly because the mattress was too soft.

“A relaxing enjoyable stay.”

The room was excellent, featuring a lovely balcony, and the bathroom facilities were very good. Parking was poor, with very few spaces, and the room could have had more drawer storage; the chairs in the breakfast room needed replacing or reupholstering.
