“Gorgeous place, but disappointing breakfast!”

The roomy property was beautifully designed on a lovely street that leads to the nearby Centro Storico. It was very clean, the beds comfy, the AC worked well, and the bathrooms were immaculate with excellent showers. Having a fridge was definitely a big plus. However, we expected a better breakfast for the price. A B&B should offer a more personal touch, like homemade eggs—beaten, scrambled, sunny side up, or even hard boiled—or at least local or artisanal items such as jams. Instead, we found the usual supermarket prepackaged items: Nutella, industrial jams, butter, plastic-wrapped biscottes. The honey, supposedly organic, ran out by our second breakfast. The selection was also very limited: only one type of juice, one type of fruit, no tomatoes or cucumbers, and no cold cuts or cheeses. This was disappointing, especially in Italy where such items are tasty, inexpensive, and plentiful. The coffee also fell short of Italian standards.
