Cefalu Resort - Sporting Club

The location is very good, especially if you have a car. The hotel is close to a private beach and also has a swimming pool, which was great for relaxing and enjoying the sea. It’s about a 15‑minute drive from the center of Cefalù, making it easy to reach the town, restaurants, and main attractions. Unfortunately, there were also some issues during our stay. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. The air conditioning had a problem from the beginning, and we informed reception when we arrived, but it was not properly fixed; it stopped working again on our last night, so we had to sleep without AC. Also, when we first arrived, we were told at reception that beach towels were available. Later, we found out that the beach towels actually cost €5, which was not clearly communicated to us at the beginning.

“Kicsit lassú az informacioaramlas”

I really liked the proximity to the sea and the generous breakfast and dinner. The view from the upper‑floor room overlooking the sea was gorgeous. When we arrived at the Cefalu train station, the receptionist told us to take a taxi, even though we had been promised a transfer. After three mentions, an extra pillow and a blanket (just a mattress) were brought to the room.

The room was great, but the check‑in at 17:00 didn’t match the advertised times, and the breakfast, lunch and dinner windows were too short.

“Ik had het beste verwacht...”

The beach is a short walk from the hotel, and the location relative to the sea is good; in the evenings they hosted fun concerts with young artists. The hotel staff were friendly and always helpful, and thanks to the housekeeping team. Our standard room was too small, had poor sound insulation, noisy neighbours, and the breakfast area was loud; I would have liked more vegetables and fruit.

The building is beautiful and close to Cefalù, with a nice pool and a short walk to the sea, plus a small shuttle for the last stretch. The buffet food is excellent and varied, the staff are well‑trained and helpful, and the evening entertainment kids are good.
