Hilton Garden Inn Le Havre Centre

The hotel lives up to the brand, but I would have preferred the old restaurant. For a place of this type, not even offering a small side bowl with the aperitifs, no options for platters or anything, is a bit disappointing. Also the menu isn’t very clear or easy to understand. Aside from those issues, it was fine.

The hotel is well‑located for exploring the city, offers good comfort, and the reception staff are pleasant. The room was far too hot and there was no way to adjust the thermostat; we reported this to reception when we checked out.

“Clean carpetspp”

The rooms were not clean; the carpet had dirty marks and the tea‑making facilities were inadequate.

The staff clearly look like they’re still learning; the tables and food weren’t refilled on time. We had to ask if we could get a table for breakfast, and there was no baguette or cheese at 9:30 am, even though breakfast ran until 10:30 am. The dining room was almost empty at dinner, and when we requested a table by the window at 20:30 h it was denied because “all tables were reserved.” Later that evening, other guests who apparently weren’t staying at the hotel were allowed to sit wherever they wanted. The staff’s lack of training leads to contradictory decisions.
