The location on Elephantine Island is a dream; only reachable by boat, the guest house is well maintained, the welcome is incredible, the comfort is simple and authentic, the family‑style food in the quiet lovely village is great, and the view of the Nile is exceptional.

The location is outstanding, quietly watched over by the hosts. This guest house sits on the elephantine island, peaceful, right on the Nile’s edge. You get there by ferry and then a 5 to 10‑minute walk through a Nubian village. It might sound tricky, but they actually pick you up by boat the first time! I’d recommend it for anyone craving authenticity.

“Excelente”

The accommodation is charming; they picked us up at Aswan port and ferried us to the island. The rooms are new and all staff are very friendly, kind and attentive. The island itself is wonderful, a calm and special spot, completely different from Egypt’s chaos. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect! Especially, the driver dropped us off at the wrong spot on the Nile; locals told us we still had 1.5 hours by car to the correct ferry station. A brief call with a guest‑house staff member, and 5 minutes later he was on his private boat. It was truly flawless.

“Awesome views”

The island spot is great, the place itself is basic but the rooftop is amazing with superb Nile and sunset views, and the breakfast, freshly cooked, was delicious. The bed wasn’t perfect; some slats fell out when we lay down, but it was an easy fix, just a bit rickety.
