The room was spacious and the location was very good, with a Seicomart right across the street, which is very convenient. The couple running the hotel were very friendly and helpful, even though I barely spoke Japanese. At the beginning of check‑in, no one was at the reception, only a note saying to call a phone number. Because I didn’t have a Japanese‑working number, that didn’t work. Another guest (or a resident?) helped us, but he was in a hurry and didn’t seem eager to help, which was unfortunate. The rooms are clean, but the shared bathroom looks a lot like it has a lot of limescale and deposits, so it doesn’t look very clean. Many places look a bit old. It’s also quite noisy. The price on Booking is significantly higher than if you booked directly by phone. But you’d need a phone number for that, and nobody ever responded to the email I sent. If they still have a room available, you can get one even without a reservation.
