The place sits right in the town center, giving a calm and relaxed vibe, but I did notice insects, a somewhat superficial cleaning, and it felt a bit too easy for strangers to get in.

Sleeping here felt like staying in a real castle, with retro tiles in the toilet, fresh fruit and veg at breakfast, and oat milk for my coffee, plus a wide view from the room; however, my English husband missed a classic English tea, only flavored black teas were offered.

This charming, original spot in a romantic old castle is great because you’re allowed to use the dishes and brew tea or coffee, the huge garden is lovely, and the breakfast is lovingly prepared and very good.
