The location was good and the view of Medici chapel was lovely; the place was very clean and the staff were friendly. However, there was no elevator on the ground floor, so I had to climb up with my bags to the reception. From there a lift took me to the rooms. There were a lot of rules, like not putting bags on beds, and the reception area was too small to linger.

The location is excellent, and despite the hotel needing a refurbishment and new furniture it’s still very clean and well kept. There is no elevator.

The location was perfect, close to the central train station and surrounded by many restaurants. The single room was larger than I expected, with a bed almost queen‑size, and it even had a sink, so I didn’t have to use the shared bathroom as much. Check‑in was smooth and the hotel staff were superb. The only drawback was the noise from the busy restaurant street, especially on weekends. There is one flight of stairs to reach the reception with no elevator, which can be tough for a solo female traveller with a large suitcase, but once you’re on the reception level a lift takes you to the rooms.
