The place was prime and the breakfast was good, but the first floor was a bit noisy.

The view from the balcony overlooking the lagoon was nice, but we had to double‑check everything beforehand. We saw many photos on the booking portal, and the hardwood and pretty tile floors caught our eye, yet we ended up with a room that had an older carpet—this was a point deduction and quite uncomfortable. The photos were taken with a wide‑angle lens, making everything look bigger than it is. The bathroom was tiny, but in a 16 m² room I didn’t expect it to be bigger.

“Personnel et emplacement au top, mais bien trop cher pour le reste.”

Getting there was easy, the spot on the Lido was superb and close to the vaporetto for quick trips to Venice. The welcome was very friendly, the staff were helpful and smiling. The hotel is advertised as 4‑star, yet the room was small, poorly sound‑proofed, the curtains were more than shabby, the bathroom was cramped with a strange tap, and one night we found a vent plate fallen to the floor—perhaps it fell during the night while we slept! The breakfast was very basic and honestly mediocre. So, we’re in Venice, but at over €200 a night we expected a whole different level for a “normal” destination.

The room’s furnishings were great and the beds were excellent, but there were a few ants crawling on the floor.

“beau de loin mais loin d'être beau”

The location was fine, but there’s a huge gap between what’s promised and what you actually get—clearly not what I expected. The cleaning was bad and the current condition was poor: all curtains were torn, the bathroom looked like it belonged to another era, especially the shower’s cleanliness. You can’t lock your door at night because there’s no proper lock system. And the breakfast? I’d rather pay for a proper one than have this included for the price.
