The only bright spot was the nearby shops, yet the room next door was really noisy.

The place was great because the nearest restaurant was easy to find for halal food, and I could walk to the city mall, but the Wi‑Fi was bad—some phones couldn’t connect—and there were too many people taking money for motorcycle parking, which is annoying for holidaymakers who don’t need to pay for parking in Batam.

Its location near the food court, Nagoya Hill Mall, and the ferry terminal was convenient, but the room had a strong cigarette smell even though it had no window, and the TV reception was poor.
