We enjoyed our stay at Haus Salzburgblik and would recommend it; the location is beautiful and the owners are friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. The only issue was that the upstairs room was very hot, so some air conditioning would help.

We spent two nights in Salzburg with a 3½‑year‑old and a 1‑year‑old in a top‑floor room that had its own kitchen and bathroom. The host and her mother were incredibly friendly and helpful. The house was clean, a bit authentic, and the small balcony added a nice touch. The breakfast was colorful and tasty – the best value we’ve found in Salzburg so far. The only downside was the bed, which felt a bit stiff for my back, but my wife didn’t mind. We’ll definitely return next time.

The view over the city was lovely, but there were a lot of fruit flies around the breakfast area.

The price was great for what we got – two bus lines within a ten‑minute walk, both running every 10–15 minutes into the city. Parking was right outside the building, so no hassle. If you’re okay with simple food, the “Goldene Möve” restaurant is a quick walk away; for better fare, just cross the street to the campsite’s eatery where the schnitzel is still pounded by hand. A short drive takes you to Gasthof Maria Plain, which offers tasty meals and lovely views.
