“Notre petit paradis basque”

Second stay at Maison Gamboia for 4 nights with my husband and our two children, and the charm is still the same. This little corner of paradise, between the green garden and the meticulously detailed rooms, won us over again. During these hot days, the natural coolness of the house was a real delight. It was a pleasure to meet Célia again, still so attentive. We’ll come back!

I liked the pretty rooms, but the breakfast cost was way too high for a small rental house with just a few rooms.

“Rien à signaler d’autre, ensemble accueil et chambre sympa !”

The breakfast was excellent, the room was large and cosy, very pleasant and quiet except for the footsteps of a family with kids above – they went to bed early, so it didn’t last long. In summer, especially when it’s really hot, I can’t stand the duvets; a sheet and a blanket would have been enough. I removed the duvet from its cover and kept only the cover as a sheet, and I even slept without a sheet. So, a duvet! 🥵

“Mit Liebe geführt”

The house has a lot of charm and atmosphere, it’s superbly renovated and tastefully decorated with great style. Célia and her mother are wonderful hosts, always helpful and courteous. Everything is simply perfect! We strongly recommend Maison Gamboia – nothing to add.

It’s a convivial and joyful place, the luxury of simplicity. The garden is bucolic, but it needs a bit more organisation or planting.
