“A chaotic hotel in an area ruined by excessive tourist development & uncontrolled construction”

The price feels high for a hotel that tries to cram every possible construction material, style, and decorative element into each square metre, creating a visual cacophony that overwhelms instead of delights. It sits in a potentially beautiful natural setting, yet the excessive and inappropriate construction—like an enormous fake Eiffel Tower—has destroyed the area's character. This issue isn’t limited to the hotel; it reflects a broader problem in Baños where attractive surroundings are increasingly encircled by unattractive tourist developments. We didn’t use the spa or pool because the area looked uninviting and poorly maintained, raising hygiene concerns. In the room, the shower was either freezing cold or scaldingly hot, with no comfortable middle temperature. Overall, the hotel feels overpriced for what it offers, and the most disappointing aspect is how both the property and the wider tourism industry in Baños have sacrificed natural beauty for overbuilt, unattractive structures—a real shame.

Everything was perfect: the staff were flawless, the atmosphere delightful and the décor stunning – truly the most beautiful hotel in the world! 😁 We enjoyed the restaurant, spa, a fireplace‑filled room with river views, the pool, the hammam, and overall three nights that could not have been better; huge thanks to Manuel and his team 🤗 Lydie and Kristian
