Allegra Suites sits in Rome’s city centre, a two‑minute walk from Ottaviano Metro and 600 m from Lepanto, placing the Vatican Museums (7 min) and St Peter’s Square (under 1 km) within easy reach. Rooms offer air‑conditioning, private bathrooms with bidets, tea/coffee makers, balconies, fireplaces and garden or city views. Amenities include a bar, 24‑hour front desk, private check‑in/out, terrace, patio and luggage storage.

The place was clean and the check‑in was easy, but the building looked pretty ugly with dim common areas that needed upkeep. My room was tidy, yet the sink was broken and patched with a strap, the shower head didn’t clamp onto the holder, the sink counter was cracked, and the power outlet by the bed was broken.

The location was great, right next to the metro, and the room kept the street noise away; check‑in/out was well organized even without staff, and I appreciated being able to leave my luggage in storage a few hours after checkout. Daily cleaning and towel changes were solid, and the price was lower than other similar places with outrageous rates. The room wasn’t very spacious, had only a coat rack instead of a wardrobe, and offered little storage for clothes and items. Maintenance was lacking: the base of the third bed’s faux‑leather was heavily worn, the sink shelf had a partially detached coating with a lot of back silicone, the sink tap was loose, the mirror was damaged, and the shower base was worn out. I wouldn’t call it a suite. The price was still high, even though it was cheaper than other comparable spots. Overall, Rome’s prices are ridiculously high for all accommodations.

The spot was fantastic, just 200 m from the metro stop, in a quiet, upscale area near the Vatican (10 min walk). It offered plenty of good‑quality, non‑tourist‑trap restaurants. The welcome was excellent, the owner was very helpful, and the response to messages was fast and thorough. Nothing to complain about.

The area was central, but the room’s door lock was broken and the door wouldn’t close; the sink tap was broken; the toilet drain was broken; and the outlets had no power.
