Altstadt-Hotel, a 1507 late‑Gothic building, sits two minutes from Freiberg’s historic Old Town and at the foot of the Nicolai quarter. Guests enjoy traditional‑style rooms with modern furnishings, satellite TV, private bathrooms, showers, hairdryers, and toiletries. A breakfast room serves morning meals. The hotel is five minutes from Freiberg Cathedral, 17 km from the A4 motorway, and 35 km from Dresden.

The reception service was super. Because we arrived very early, the housekeeper brought our luggage to the room after cleaning, so we could explore the city with the key we received. The location is centrally quiet. The breakfast is superb. Guests are assigned a table, so there’s no scramble for a free seat like in some hotels.

The breakfast was very good, especially considering the price‑performance ratio. The personal, individual advice when we arrived late was very pleasant. For our special requests (changing clothes outside the room reservation time) we received support.

The rooms were stylishly renovated. The staff were very warm. The location is very central with a separate parking lot. Highly recommended!
