Real Escondida in Playa del Carmen is an adults‑only boutique guest house perched on a quiet street, offering private rooms with garden views, soundproofing, and a coffee machine. Guests lounge on a sun terrace, unwind in a hot tub, and enjoy free Wi‑Fi, streaming, and a minibar. Off‑site parking, air‑conditioning, and a lush garden enhance its tranquil, secluded charm.

The room was new and clean, with a whirlpool bathtub and hot water, a shower, a large room and bathroom, a fridge, efficient AC, a comfortable bed, and a nicely decorated terrace with plants and flowers and two lounge chairs. It’s next to an amazing little pizza restaurant and opposite a great supermarket. The staff were very friendly. A owl perched in the tree across from my room! The wifi was very good. The local Cartier was convenient, and there was parking for my motorcycle. It was very quiet! Thank you!!! The only issue was that I had to search for 30 minutes for the location because there was no sign indicating where it was. A trash bin in the room would be handy. I would have liked a real balcony on the room, though it seems it isn’t finished yet and might come later.

It looks exactly as in the photos—very clean and pretty, and the owner is very kind.

Very new and underrated right now. The furniture is nice and not geared toward mass tourism. It’s a quiet place that I hope stays that way. There’s even a jacuzzi (I didn’t use it). Very clean.
