The inn sits just a short walk from the main church in the town centre, close to everything, and the bed was comfy with clean sheets and pillows. My room only had a small fan, which was fine because it never got hot and the weather was pleasant. Breakfast offered bread, eggs, carrot cake with frosting, coffee and milk—enough for me. I enjoyed strolling on the balcony, watching the street bustle and feeling a nice breeze. Note that checkout is actually by 12 pm, despite what the site says; there’s a sign on the door, and Joana explained they haven’t updated the platform yet, yet she was very kind and let me leave around 1 pm as I had planned. A cheap market is right next door for fruit and water, and across the avenue at the clock square there are plenty of snack stalls. Overall I’d recommend staying here. On the downside, cleaning could improve—I found a lollipop stick and a medicine box on the floor, and the bathroom wall needed more attention. There’s no free water filter, so you have to buy a bottle each time you want water, which made buying from the market cheaper. Light sleepers should be aware of the church’s proximity; I couldn’t nap at 6 pm because of the mass and was woken at 3 am by a loud truck horn, though I fell back asleep after. Earplugs might help.

What I liked most were the staff; they’re very attentive. The building itself needs a renovation.
