Horseshoe Bay Resort, on a peninsula, offers self-contained air-conditioned accommodation surrounded by beaches and bushland. A large swimming pool, children's wading pool, and cafe serving meals and drinks are available. The resort is a 5-minute walk from Horseshoe Bay, minutes' drive from a boat ramp and Bowen Golf Club, and 10 minutes from Bowen Town Centre.

I liked the spot, but when we tried to grill we found no barbecue in the main area; we eventually spotted one tucked behind the caravan section.
