Michael was very welcoming and friendly; we had a lovely chat in his garden, and in the morning he prepared a delicious early breakfast of scrambled eggs.

The Mill House feels like stepping back to the 1920s with modern comforts, full of old family photos and quirky ornaments, and its quiet location is great for driving to Salisbury and the countryside; Michael, the owner, is sweet, interesting, and offers old‑style hospitality that’s rare, so I’d definitely return, though the entrance is hard to find on the bend and better signage would help.

“Pleasant and comfortable accommodation in a quiet Wiltshire village, a short drive from Stonehenge.”

We had a very pleasant stay in the owner’s home, filled with photos and memories of Wiltshire village life; Michael was friendly and knowledgeable, breakfasts were excellent, and the quiet house and garden were relaxing and convenient for exploring Stonehenge and the chalk Downs.
