We arrived to find the accommodation had been demolished and was under reconstruction; our reservation hadn’t been cancelled, so we were unable to stay.

“Soggiorno perfetto”

The structure sits in the heart of Khiva’s old town, right behind one of the main squares. There are three rooms, each with a private bathroom (two rooms share an external bathroom). As a guest house, you’re literally in the hosts’ home, and the rooms are accessed through the kitchen. Bonu was an extremely kind host, speaks English very well, and is ready to give any information or an English‑guided tour, which we took at a good price. Breakfast, prepared by Bonu’s mother, was very good and mostly savory. Bonu arranged a transfer for our airport pick‑up and another to Khiva station, which is a bit on the outskirts, about 30 minutes on foot. Everything was perfect.

The host was very helpful and friendly, and we could have breakfast whenever we wanted. We were also able to stay longer in the room.
