The staff were friendly, the room was always clean and the location was very okay (the bus stop to Kyoto Station is right in front of the hotel).

Free tea, coffee, nuts, chocolate treats and a water cooler at reception, plus comfy beds. The back of the toilet was really dirty, so we didn't bring it up for fear of embarrassing the staff. The rooms are too small for a couple, but okay for solo travellers.

Breakfast was very good and the rooms were quiet. The location isn’t that great – it’s far from the city centre and there are no shops or restaurants nearby. The staff are polite and friendly but too formal and rigid, and their English knowledge is average.

The staff were very attentive and everything was very clean. The room is small, but that’s normal in all of Japan.
