“Ok”
The hotel is in a very convenient spot, close to the water‑tram stop that takes you to many interesting places in Venice. There are also many restaurants and cafés nearby. The hotel itself is fine, breakfast is very good, usually the same each day but there’s something for everyone, sweet or savory. The rooms are decent, not huge but adequate, and the air‑conditioning works well, which is a big plus. The downside is that you can’t decide whether to have your room cleaned, because the key must be left at reception when you leave the hotel – it protects against loss but you lose control over the room. There’s no way to put up a note saying “don’t clean.” One evening we brought pizza in a cardboard box, it was left for dinner, and the next morning after the cleaning the box was gone. I think that was very untidy, especially since it still had unfinished pizza from the previous night, and we hadn’t left the hotel yet – we had two more nights. I understand cleaning, but nobody should touch or decide about someone’s property, including a bottle of water that was also thrown away or taken. No staff mentioned that you can’t bring in food or purchases, so the situation was even more unacceptable.
