I was struck by the room’s lake view and the overall beauty of the space. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight, and I enjoyed the reading nook on the second floor; plus, the hotel’s location on the main street was convenient. However, my partner and I had a disappointing experience at the hotel’s restaurant.

We stumbled upon this place while traveling between Ottawa and Toronto, looking for a quiet spot to rest before heading back to Italy, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. The ladies running the hotel and restaurant were warm and friendly, and the dinner was lovely, starting with a great performance by two local musicians.

The staff did their best, but the food area was infested with flying ants, which was quite disgusting, and the food itself was cold and low quality.
