“Comfortabel hotel op een zekere afstand van het station”

The rooms were attractive with comfy beds, the breakfast spread was extensive, and the staff were friendly. The hotel lies 1.2 km from Nanjing South Railway Station, reachable only by metro or taxi, which we mis‑judged as walkable, and we also ended up at Atour Hotel, the pricier version of Atour Light, before staff finally collected us and took us to the correct property, where they even offered us a complimentary breakfast.

“Нормально”

Atour proved to be a solid chain hotel with decent breakfast, laundry service, and a location just 350 m from the busy green line 3 metro and 1.5 km from the south station, set in the Proletarsky district near a rundown mall filled with cheap eateries. However, the entrance features a high porch and stairs with no lift, forcing guests to haul luggage up manually, and the promised free shuttle to the station never arrived, so we had to catch a taxi on the street.

“Clean and tidy”

The staff didn’t speak much English, but translators exist nowadays, and they were very friendly, which is what matters. The rooms were nice and tidy, the AC worked, laundry was tidy and useful. The room layout is a bit labyrinthine, feels like a maze almost.
