Traffic noise, restaurant closed at 17.30 on a sunday and there is no breakfast on Monday mornings. We didn't stay

We loved the setting, everyone was friendly, and the room offered a great view of the fields. The room was lovely and spacious, and the meals were very good.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were good. Dinner was available at the hotel pub, and our dog could join us in the dining room. We stayed for a layover and missed out on dog‑friendly walking spots right next to the hotel; a natural area was just a short drive away.

The view of the castle was amazing, we saw horses in the morning and the beautiful trees outside—lovely location.
