The location in the city center was superb, right next to the main sights, but driving into the hotel can be tricky during the day because of the guard posts blocking access to the old part of town; they lift at night, so we had no trouble, but early arrivals might find it difficult.

“Un hotel bun”

This is our second visit; the hotel is very close to all tourist spots, metro, tram, ferry, rooms are clean, breakfast is varied, and we chose it for free parking. In Istanbul traffic is heavy, streets are narrow, and parking is scarce. The area isn’t a luxury zone; streets are somewhat dirty, old buildings are deteriorated and crowded, which contrasts sharply with the accommodation. Locals can be noisy at night, talk loudly, and in summer with the window open the noise can be very loud.

I chose this hotel because of its location and parking (pictured underground), but the parking was actually next to a neighboring hotel. On the day of departure, I saw my car completely covered in dirt that I had to wash off at a cost; they should warn guests about this.

The staff were very polite, parking was available, breakfast was fantastic, the room got cleaned daily, and the location was close to all key historic sites. However, the hotel displays a 9.6 rating on the front door, which they say is higher than it actually is!
