“Great place to stay for an overnight when you want to have a staycation at the Plaza. I would not recommend it for long-”

The property sits in a great plaza location and feels sophisticated; the beds are extremely comfortable and the shower/bathroom terrific. The woman at the pool bar was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. I was there to celebrate my daughter‑in‑law’s 30th birthday, yet there was a lot of loud laughter and comments in the hallway on all three nights, plus a strong smell of marijuana smoke later each evening. The valet service was very slow and lacked personality. The pool was too warm—though Kansas City was hot, cold water should be pumped in evenings to keep it refreshing—and the pool was too small for the number of guests present.

“Great getaway”

The staff were phenomenal—every single one was welcoming and helpful. The food and coffee, however, fell short.

Check‑in was awesome, customer service was great, and the rooms were beautiful and clean, but I think I didn’t like something.
