BIG4 Mackay Blacks Beach Holiday Park, located opposite Blacks Beach, features an outdoor pool, BBQ facilities, and self-contained villas with private balconies. The park offers air-conditioned villas with kitchenettes, separate living rooms, and TVs. It's 10 minutes from Mackay Golf Course, 20 minutes from central Mackay, and 30 minutes from Mackay Airport, with a kiosk, tour desk, and laundry facilities on site.

It offered good value for money and a decent location; you get what you pay for, though there were minor cleanliness issues in the rooms. I’d stay again – the pool and beachfront were nice, and the whole park was quiet.

Everything was clean, functional, and quiet. The bed felt a bit hard, but I prefer a very soft mattress, so that’s just my taste.

The location was perfect, the staff brilliant, and the units the right size. There was only one air‑con in the unit and none in the bedrooms, so it gets stuffy in hot months, and there isn’t much for kids except a walk to the beach.

Close to the beach, the staff were friendly, and the accommodation was clean and tidy.
