Staying here felt like stepping into a historic hacienda, sleeping amid centuries of history and living in a house from another era, thanks not only to the early‑19th‑century building but also to the generous staff who made us feel truly at home; they even lit the fireplace and placed two hot‑water bottles on the large bed for the evening. There was nothing especially wrong, though we did notice the lack of heating, which the staff compensated for by keeping the room fireplace burning, alongside the big communal hearths.
