The hotel is close to the fair, but the room was far too small for a double room I booked; the bathroom was so tiny that I couldn't even sit straight on the toilet. The parking was very expensive, and overall the price‑to‑value ratio was poor – you get better accommodation in Cologne for the same money.

The cleanliness was decent, but the email confirming the pre‑booked parking was essentially useless – no one was there at the front desk to solve any issues.

The location is great – everything is within walking distance, like the Lanxess Arena, the Dance Fountain, the Cathedral and the Old Town.

The rooms were very clean, tidy, and the beds comfortable. The room on the courtyard side was very quiet. Walking to the Lanxess Arena was easy, and Deutz station was only 4 minutes away. A few restaurants around the hotel could be found. At checkout we were offered a coffee. The room on the 3rd floor had no elevator, but that isn’t really a big deal.
