“Scariest fifteen minutes of my life”
There was nothing to like. The location was horrible, the staff was not helpful, and the room was disgusting. My original room that I had booked was “taken” and I was “upgraded,” which is a tactic used for trafficking. I wouldn’t be surprised, since there were multiple shady figures loitering around the property. While checking in, a man with a balaclava was shining a flashlight into my sister’s car from the second floor, and when he saw her he came down and kept shining the light into her face, apologizing and saying he didn’t want to scare her… as he continued to shine the light in her face. He obviously felt right at home since he roamed the motel and kept talking to me as well. That was just outside, but inside there were multiple roaches, the shower was filthy, and there were strange stains on the couch. This doesn’t include the broken door lock and the wide‑open window above the bathtub/shower in the middle of the room. This made us feel like the “upgrade” was a clear way for trafficking. We decided we couldn’t stay there; none of us felt safe, and we felt disgusting standing in the room. Avoid at all costs! I tried to save some money, but quickly realized I’d rather splurge on my family’s and my safety!
