“Perfect place to be in Rakedhoo”
Tranquil Nest is a great spot if you want to hear only waves, birds, and the occasional chicken wandering the grounds. My room was upgraded, featuring a balcony and an amazing ocean view from both the room and the bathroom. The staff were fantastic, and the food was good too. They arranged dinner in different settings: one where nurse sharks passed by, another on the beach. The décor and views were stunning. If you enjoy snorkeling, you can see all kinds of fish, reef sharks, and eagle rays—truly amazing. It’s a place to return to if you crave calm.
The food was all excellent! No negatives.
“Perfect to unwind”
We had an amazing time at Tranquil Nest! The place and people were very nice, the food great, staff wonderful, and the coral reef around is beautiful. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the real Maldives.
The sea here looks like an aquarium, full of ray, shark, barracuda, puffer and koi fish, and if you want to dive you have to walk about 5 minutes to deeper water; the island itself is really quiet and a week was plenty for us. The only downside was the breakfast – only two styles were offered, the Maldivian option was decent while the continental one was disappointing, and after a week you start to tire of it, with the other meals suffering the same fate; apart from two staff members everyone else was unfriendly and unhelpful, basically ignoring us. The owner showed up only on the first day when we paid and then again on the last day when we paid, showing little interest in us and seeming more focused on money than care. Neighbors wandered onto the property, which was uncomfortable, and while I was lying on a deck chair a man behind me kept trimming palm branches, collecting juice twice a day. On the final two days a large group of about 15 people, apparently the owner’s family, arrived, and we were glad to be leaving. It’s a pity the owner doesn’t rent out paddle‑boards or surfboards.
Beautiful and quiet local island. The hotel’s location is insane, but it needs a renovation soon, which I understand is happening shortly.
