The hotel is nicely situated in the centre of Bungay, making pubs and restaurants walkable, parking was available and the small garden was a nice touch, but there was no breakfast offered; this was understandable given the property’s size, though other no‑breakfast places provide a croissant in a bag and a protein bar.

The building is beautiful and historic, each room is unique, and after staying here a few times it has always been lovely; the owners do their best to accommodate reasonable requests, but it isn’t ideal for guests with major mobility issues because the old building requires climbing a flight of stairs.
