“Great location in Old City”

The spot was perfect, easy to stroll around and felt safe. The beds were incredibly cozy. The only drawback was the stairs; we knew it beforehand, but reaching the fourth floor after a long day of walking the city was a bit of a slog. Still, it didn’t bother me much.

The hotel was ideally situated for seeing the Liberty Bell, the family room suited our five‑person group nicely, and there were cafés and restaurants just a short walk away.

“Comfortable apartment steps from all the best in Philly!”

The place sits steps away from many old‑town and downtown attractions, and the staff were fantastic to communicate with.

“Top Lage, einfaches aber schönes Hotel”

The location is very good. The hotel itself is simple and pretty. The room and bathroom are very large, with high ceilings and plenty of space. It has its own kitchen with everything you could need. The shower is great, large, and works well. Everything is within walking distance, with many small cafés and shops. The ventilation in the bathroom seems to not work or works very little. Because the building is older, many small things are outdated, but everything is otherwise in good shape. Unfortunately the windows are locked, which is quite bad because you can’t ventilate the room and it has no ventilation. It has an air conditioner that only cools, but there is no fresh intake. The room was also a bit dirty, or the floor wasn’t swept.

“Philly Karma: Take an Umbrella, Leave Your Pants”

We stayed at Lokal Hotel Old City, a loft‑style hotel that somehow makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a local who just happens to have excellent taste in neighborhoods. Also apparently the kind of place where people accidentally leave their trousers in the dryer for the next guest. Which honestly tracks with Philly’s energy. Because the people here are absurdly kind. The type to hand you their umbrella in the rain without hesitation. BTW, we left the umbrella in the room along with the rain jacket and those trousers for the next guest😉
