“A perfect getaway in the heart of Provence”

We loved everything about our stay! The location is perfect if you wish to visit Provence - it is really conveniently located, with all the main attractions (and hidden gems) within 20 minutes-2 hours drive. The apartment has a separate entrance, downstairs living room and toilet, and upstairs bedroom, closet and bathroom with a shower. The drawers are full of maps and folders about local attractions. The room is quiet and the whole estate is surrounded by impressive old trees. The swimming pool is very convenient, heated with solar panels (we were there in September), and with sunbeds and hammock around. The breakfast was perfection - delicious local products and specialties, home-baked bread, crispy croissants, fresh fruit and fantastic eggs (Eric's own recipe). Most of all, the hosts were truly exceptional - we felt so welcome and taken care of. They really thought of everything we may need, always providing helpful tips and recommendations. The hosts are the heart of the property. We are definitely coming back. We didn't have any complaints. All was great

Un posto che resta nel cuore — molto più di un semplice soggiorno! Siamo arrivati all'Ermitage Notre Dame de Vacquières cercando un posto bello dove trascorrere qualche giorno in Provenza. Siamo ripartiti con la sensazione di aver vissuto qualcosa di speciale, difficile da raccontare senza sembrare esagerati. La struttura è un sogno: non una semplice camera, ma un vero mini appartamento interamente per noi, con due bagni, spazi curati in ogni dettaglio e — dettaglio che ci ha lasciato senza parole — una cappella privata annessa. Un luogo di una bellezza silenziosa e raccolta, che dà a tutto il soggiorno un'atmosfera unica. La piscina è un privilegio raro: privata, esclusiva, sempre disponibile. Nelle calde giornate provenzali di luglio è stata il nostro rifugio quotidiano. E la colazione — generosa, curata, con prodotti genuini — è ogni mattina una piccola cerimonia che mette il buonumore per tutta la giornata. Ma il vero valore aggiunto di questo posto si chiama **Éric e Marie-Claude**. Due persone di una dolcezza e disponibilità fuori dal comune. Ci hanno accolto come ospiti, non come clienti. Sempre presenti quando servivano, mai invadenti. Attenti a ogni dettaglio, compresi i nostri — avevamo comunicato un'allergia alimentare e l'hanno gestita con cura e delicatezza in ogni occasione. Il tocco finale? Mia moglie festeggiava il compleanno durante il soggiorno, e loro hanno voluto farle un pensierino. Un gesto piccolo ma genuino, che dice tutto su che tipo di persone sono. Se cercate un posto dove sentirvi davvero coccolati, in un angolo di Provenza autentica e tranquilla, l'Ermitage è la risposta. Ci torneremo!. Nulla.Era tutto straordinariamente perfetto!

“Kein Wohlfühlaufenthalt”

What worked well: the hosts’ friendliness, the extensive and tasty breakfast, the large bed, and the location. What didn’t: we felt uncomfortable in the 800‑year‑old building because of a strong mold smell that lingered in our clothes and pillows and stayed even after washing at home. The hosts were so kind they offered a refund if we left early, and because of that gesture we decided to stay the full three days. We can’t believe we were the first to complain about the mold; we booked based on enthusiastic reviews from other guests, but we couldn’t see the same. As for the amenities, it’s a matter of taste—ours just didn’t fit. Even the old chapel in the annex didn’t feel cozy for us. Otherwise, the hosts were friendly, helpful, and courteous, the breakfast was fantastic, the garden appealing, and the location excellent. Unfortunately, that isn’t enough for us to return.

“Ideale uitvalsbasis voor een fietsvakantie in de Provence.”

Alles, het hartelijk onthaal, het mooie verblijf, heerlijk ontbijt. De ligging in een bosrijke tuin, de centrale ligging dicht bij Avignon, Orange, Arles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, les Baux en alle mooie dorpen van de Luberon. Helemaal niets
